Lunar New Year Chinese Brush Painting Workshop – Year of the Rat

Alameda Free Library on January 11, 2:00 – 3:30 pm

Celebrate Lunar New Year and learn to paint seasonal flowers, fruits, and zodiac animals. This workshop teaches basic techniques and promote cultural appreciation. Art supplies such as brushes, ink, and paper will be provided. Pre-registration is required for this limited space workshop. Pauline Tsui is an artist, a writer, and a docent of the Asian Art Museum. She studied traditional Chinese brush painting with renowned masters in Hong Kong; and attended Mills College of Oakland majoring in Practice of Art. For over 15 years, Pauline has taught brush painting and calligraphy classes at various community centers, public libraries and art museums.
