Japanese Aesthetics and Kimono Refashioned — presented by Asian Art Museum Community Speakers Program
Embark on a journey of Japanese aesthetics as expressed in the country’s extraordinary art and culture. This talk will tie in with the Asian Art Museum’s Kimono Refashioned exhibition which explores the impact of Japanese kimono on world fashion from the 1870s to present day. Museum docent Pauline Tsui will present a slideshow of artworks from the San Francisco Asian Art Museum as well as beautiful dresses from the Kyoto Costume Institute.
